HiYa~This weekend I had so much fun at the Double Eagle Hotel and Casino as we gave away a total of 25K! I got to pay people out and this happened to be a $2000.00 winner! One guy tipped me 20 bucks which was great 'cause I had just lost 25 at the black jack table... Head back into KKFM.COM and answer the pole about what type of gambler you are and have a great week ahead!

DAMMIT!..Chloe...We are. running out of...
TIME!
Yes...it is true. This is the last season of Fox's 24. After 9 years, and countless Jack Bauer-isms (DAMMIT!) this is it for Jack. Let's face it, the show has had its ups and downs. Some seasons have been better than others. I think i even bailed on a year after seeing the mini-nuclear explosion in LA. BUT---24 came roaring back to life last season with an addictive storyline , which introduced us to Jack's newest "interest" Renee Walker. (LOVE me some crazy Renee). This season has been struggling at times. but the last few weeks (hours) have started to heat up.
One of the fun things about 24 has always been its outlandishness and this season is no stranger to that. Apparently ANYONE can get hired at CTU (I'm lookin at you Dana Walsh). Drinking games have sprung up over the years revolving around famous Jack lines (we are running out of time! SON --OF--A --BITCH!...I'm not gonna ask you again..) and honestly,. didn't you always get a little giddy with excitement when Jack entered into some interrogation room ALONE with a suspect..or disabled a camera. You JUST knew something ass kicking was coming.
But alas like all great shows. we actually ARE running out of time. So enjoy some over the top action, incredulous coincidences, lax CTU security and cell phones that seem to work ANYWHERE. and the real time format was cool as hell. it seemed this show was so ,,,2000's . great villians, moles, and pretty sweet Presidents too. gonna miss you 24.

ANOTHER classic 25th Anniversary..

This morning , I saw a promo on AMC for the Clint Eastwood Classic PALE RIDER...yes another great movie celebrates its 25th anniversary! Much like KKFM this year, other classic films are celebratng 25, including the timeless Breakfast Club (mess with the bull..you';; get the horns) and the first Back to the Future.
there is something pretty special about celebrating 25 years, as we are discovering with our own 25th this year. Its long enough to generate a LOT of memories, but still fresh enough to be (mostly) remembered. Of course in the case of movies, the fact we have seen our favorites time and time ...and TIME again (i have seen Pale Rider dozens of times) reinforces the magic.
Clint made a similiar pic in 1973 called High Plains Drifter in which a mysterious gunman arrives to save a town but really is there to get revenge. Then years later comes Pale Rider..again a mysterious gunman arrives to save the miners from the despotic Coy LaHood(played with a great snarl by Richard Dysart)..this time Eastwood is in the guise of PREACHER ( love the echoing Preeeeeeeeeeeeeeecher Preeeeeeeecher in the wind). In this movie Clint's great skills as a director are even MORE on display. There are great visual touches, odd camera angles, layered storytelling moments and a beautiful setting , plus the uusal humor (nothing like a good piece of hickory!) and in the end, justice is served.
PALE RIDER truly one of the classic Eastwood films!
I think I am liking these 25th anniversaries!

HiYa~ Yesterday was SOOOOO much fun at the 15th Annual Media/Chef Comp. I cooked with some real professionals Ben and Ethan from the Craftwood Inn. Jeff was also on hand just in case but let's just say 3 very good cooks took #1 Entree and they received a medal and a sweet knife set.. I would have loved to had the knife set. Ben will really enjoy them as they were not a cheapy set. Anyways, here is to another week of LOVE with Double Down Double Plays and your chance to share in a $25K Pay day from The Double Eagle Hotel and Casino and we here celebrating 25 years of KKFM Goodness!!!!
Much Love
