Sun? This weekend? FINALLY

Looks like , FINALLY , mother nature is going to cooperate with us this weekend. 80s and sunny--a few clouds . Now THAT is what we have been waiting for...so why not come down to Gasoline Alley Friday afternoon for ADULT RECESS? we take the show on the road from 4-7pm..and you can join us for burgers and beer in the ROOFTOP ALLIANCE (click on workforce quickclicks for details)...and then Friday and Saturday nights rock out to the sounds of JAKE LOGGINS ! Just what we need to kickstart us out of this rainy day "blah" weather of late...look we all like the rain...but sometimes enough is ENOUGH. Also a big time CONGRATS to all those new Air Force 2nd Lt.'s! well done! that's a tough 4 years with sometimes uncertain futures...so we admire and respect all of you...and wish you all the best!

Summer is here ..at last!

Hey there..well now I know that I am back in Colorado Springs! TERRITORY DAYS ..yeahhhh babeee :) three days of fun and music ..and nothing but fun and music (to borrow a well known historical reference!) Oh and don' forget food on a stick ! all kinds of foods on all kinds of sticks!
We of course will be broadcasting live the whole weekend ..you can walk and talk ,then dock yourself at the BEER GARDEN ! take in the live music...buy some stuff...it's our own little economic stimulus plan in OLD COLORADO CITY ..been a few years since i have been able to get over there and I am ready! OH ..and kick start it with a little Friday Afternoon Club party first..at the newest awesome ROCK club downtown called GASOLINE ALLEY ..I will be doing the show there Fridays this summer from 3-7pm..on the ROOFTOP! what a concept eh? a very cool rooftop bar as part of the three levels and LIVE BANDS as you walk in...check out the AMAZING bar on the floor level too with saddle seats..vintage harleys and about a zillion bottles on the wall...see ya around this weekend!

HiYa-I realize it has been a while since I last took to bloggin'! Sorry about that, I went to Atlanta for a short/sweet visit with my family and some business too. My brother who has "Mad" skills had a recital with his kids. Nick is a well accomplished studio musician who has a business in Atlanta teaching children any instrument they want to play, he has several other teachers to help him as he is increasingly busy. My sister is also in Atlanta although she lives on the south side. I stay with her to see my niece and nephew, they are getting so big it's hard to believe before you know it they will be going to college! My parents were also there and just left for Italy yesterday so it was great to see them.. And how about squeezing in a mini class reunion to boot.... I tell you what I was flying 90 miles and hour over my long weekend.. It was sooo much fun though, reconnecting with some really great dear friends:) Hope you have a wonderful week ahead and I hope to meet you at Territory Days in Old Colorado City this weekend!

Get It Rolling!

There are almost more cool rides coming up than we can keep up with... is your bike rolling? Ruby is getting new lights, tires and clutch this week so so we are ready to go! Run for the Local Wall this Saturday, The Pikes Peak Area Fallen Officer's memorial Ride June 7th, the Royal ride June 21st, AM Cycles 5th Anniversary Poker Run/Party June 27...and we aren't even into July yet! *whew* GGo to kkfm.com in the KKFM Nieghborhood and see the calendar for up-coming events and I'll see you there! Red Rocks Season Heats Up!!

The biggest part of every Colorado summer, for me, is the chance to see great shows at Red Rocks! I try to make at least 2 or 3 every year. The list of shows for this summer's Red Rocks Concert Lineup continues to grow with the recent additions of: Journey & Heart on Tuesday, July 21. Heaven & Hell on Saturday, August 15. Crosby, Stills & Nash on Tuesday, September 1.

Be seein' ya' on The Rocks at some point this summer!!

HiYa- Wow, I just thought about it, it has been a while since I took to the blog. Hope everyone had a nice weekend.. I threw a mini bbq for a corporate friend that was in town working with our cluster of radio stations.. We had so much fun!!! Saturday was so rainy and crappy I did nothing which is something I really haven't done in awhile. I have a busy week with Rain-A Tribute to The Beatles on Wednesday then Thursday I am off to see The Dead at the Pepsi Center.. Two shows in one week, it will hurt in the morning but how often do you get to see these types of shows and concerts.. I always tell you to become a KKFM Workforce member so do that right now and maybe you will be going to the next big show with us here at KKFM!
