Hi Chuck Squire here from the Bob and Tom morning show...
Over the weekend, I went grocery shopping...pickin' up the usual things for the week...and a few special items...One thing I always get , is chive and onion cream cheese.....Well they changed the way the packaging looks ..and it took me about 5 minutes... lookin' up and down the place where it usually is...finally I found it...
I'm thinkin'...if the labels or packaging were changed on several items at any store we shop...would we spend time lookin' for what we usually buy or buy something else?
Just thinkin'

Buzzy's Facebook Love Facts

Alright Gang lets see some Stupid News on Facebook...ok i mean Important stuff on Relationship Status hahahahaha :In Honor of Valentine's Day, Here's the State of Love On Facebook:

For this Valentine's Day, here's a survey about love where it REALLY matters . . . on FACEBOOK. Thousands of Facebook users were surveyed about their relationships . . . here's what they said.

--Among single people, 78% list themselves as single, 14% don't list a status, and the other 8% lie by saying they're in a relationship.

--People who are dating but not engaged are the only ones who reported using the "it's complicated" choice. 6% have their relationship status as "it's complicated."

--3% of people who are engaged list themselves as single. So do 1% of married people.

--For people who say they're in a relationship but don't list the person's name, the main reasons are privacy . . . and crazy exes.

--55% of the people surveyed plan on going on a date tonight, or having a night in with their significant other. 6% are planning on having a first date. 22% will spend time with their friends . . . and 12% are not planning on celebrating at all. (--The remaining 5% responded with "other".)

Want a Revolution? Tweet it..

This situation in Egypt is fascinating to watch. As in Tunisia on the North African coast, much of the mechanics of moving forward with a little social upheaval has been fueled by social media. Facebook and Twitter have kept the fires of revolution stoked.

It is a different world, but with predictable outcomes. Crowds find their way the the main squares whether via word of mouth , newspaper, underground radio or TV..and now social media. Governments respond with confusion, shows of force; opposition leaders emerge with bullhorns and chanting crowds.

The main difference with these fledgling revolts in Egypt and Tunisia seems to be the speed of the information being discussed and spread. Facebook and Twitter have become indispensable tools of the people in the rush to reform and maybe transform.

Most of us social media for fun..some serious stuff here and there will find its way into our discussions. But watching what is happening in Egypt makes those status updates about what I had for lunch seem kinda silly.

Will be interesting to see how this all unfolds..but man is it a different world.
